Rino’s Furious as Bombastic Advance in Provincial B Cup

Bombastic defeated Rino’s Fury 2-0 to advance to the Men’s Open B Provincial Cup Round of 16 next weekend. Pat Blennerhassett pounced on a loose ball 10 minutes into the second half to give Bombastic the lead. Luke Dorn converted a penalty a few moments later to extend that lead. The AFTN Canada Blog from Canadiansoccer.com, were on hand and posted this youtube video of both goals as well as a couple of fantastic saves by Bombastic goalkeeper Adam Guthridge.

Next up for the Men’s A Team is Europa FC of the Burnaby Men’s League. The game will be held in Burnaby next weekend. The day and time have not yet been announced. The Bombastic Women’s A team also start their Provincial B Cup campaign Sunday, April 13th against Lakehill FC of the LIWSA. That game is a 2:15pm kickoff at Braefoot Park in Victoria.
